Caprylic acid is a medium-chain fatty acid that is found in coconut oil. It is believed to promote potent antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory effects. Oral intake of caprylic acid appears to have a time-release action, slowly allowing the fatty acids to enter the bloodstream and into the intestinal tract.

Caprylic acid is well known for its anti-fungal properties.
