Uva ursi contains natural chemicals with infection-fighting properties called glycosides and arbutin. Glycosides are transformed in the body into hydroquinone, which promotes antibacterial properties and may assist in reducing bacteria in the urine. Therefore, research has found that uva ursi may support the urinary tract against infection and may assist individuals who suffer from reoccurring urinary tract infections. Additionally, it contains tannins which have an astringent effect on tissues and may promote reduced inflammation.

Supports Kidney Health

Uva ursi supports kidney health through its antibacterial and diuretic effects. Diuretics support optimal kidney function.
