Promotes Canker and Cold Sore Relief and Prevention

Some studies have suggested that L-lysine may be effective in relieving cold sores by stopping the reproduction of the virus that causes them-herpes simplex virus (HSV). L-lysine also appears to compete against arginine, an amino acid that is necessary for HSV replication, promoting balance between the two and supporting the inhibition of viral replication. L-lysine supplementation may promote similar effects on canker sores, promoting reduced frequency, severity, and duration.

Amino acids are the building blocks for proteins. Recommendations
