Hawthorn berries support healthy levels of cholesterol in the body, crucial for a healthy heart. They contain pectin, a type of fiber involved in cholesterol metabolism. High triglyceride levels and low HDL (good) cholesterol levels play a role in plaque buildup in blood vessels, which may result in heart complications.
