Yucca is a plant with pointed leaves, native to dry regions of North America. Native Americans traditionally used yucca root for its healing properties and soap production. Yucca's chemical composition is responsible for promoting its anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic effects.

Promotes Anti-Inflammatory Activity

Inflammation is the body’s natural response to protect itself from harm. When chronic, it can cause some health problems and unwanted symptoms in the body. Yucca contains powerful antioxidants and saponins that can promote reduced symptoms of inflammation. Antioxidants prevent oxidative damage in cells caused by free radicals, supporting decreased inflammation.

Promotes Bone and Joint Health

Yucca is primarily used to support the reduction of joint inflammation. The saponins found in yucca promote anti-protozoal activity. They suppress intestinal protozoa which may have a role in joint inflammation. Yucca is also rich in polyphenolics which also support decreased inflammation in the joints.

Recommendations
