Promotes Female Reproductive Health
Donq quai is commonly prescribed by herbalists to women who need to “enrich” their blood. The properties found in dong quai are believed to promote reduced fatigue in women and increase vitality. Dong quai is also traditionally used to promote relief from female reproductive problems such as vaginal dryness, premenstrual syndrome, menopausal symptoms, and hot flashes. Studies have shown that dong quai promotes both stimulating and relaxing activity on uterine tissue. This may be due to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and analgesic effects.
